Getting Involved in the Community

1. Attend local events: Corona del Mar is home to a variety of community events throughout the year, including the Corona del Mar Home Tour, CdM 5K, annual Christmas Walk, the Corona del Mar Farmers Market every Saturday from 11a-1p, the Newport Beach Film Festival. Attending these events is a fun way to get a sense of the local community.
2. Join a community organization: There are numerous community organizations in Corona del Mar, ranging from environmental groups to service clubs to business associations. Joining one of these groups is a great way to connect with others who share your interests and passions.
3. Volunteer: There are numerous opportunities to volunteer in Corona del Mar, whether it's through a local charity or community organization. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community while also making new connections and building your skills.
4. Participate in local sports or fitness activities: Corona del Mar has a thriving sports and fitness scene, with opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels. Joining a local sports team or fitness group is a way to meet new people and stay active.
5. Attend city council meetings: Corona del Mar is part of the larger city of Newport Beach, and attending city council meetings is a way to stay informed about local issues and get involved in the decision-making process. The City of Newport Beach holds city council meetings twice a month in the City Council Chambers. 
6. Support local businesses: Corona del Mar is home to a variety of small businesses, from coffee shops to boutiques to restaurants. Supporting these businesses is a one way to invest in the local community and build relationships with business owners and fellow residents.
